Italy, Russia, and China Agree BASF Joins Nanxi Gas Pipeline Project

According to a Reuters report on October 10 in Milan, Italian local newspapers reported today that Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi have agreed to join the Nanxi Gas Pipeline project of the German oil company Wintershall AG of BASF.

The Nanxi Gas Pipeline Project, which aims to transport Russian natural gas to Europe, is jointly controlled by the Russian energy giant Gazprom and the Italian oil giant Eni. The third largest European oil company, Total France, also owns this project. Part of the shares.

According to Italian Il Messaggero and la Repubblica newspaper reports, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin unanimously agreed to open the Nanxi Pipeline International Consortium to German Wintershall during a private visit to Russia.
