Vietnamese footwear company "labor shortage" serious footwear industry urgently needed to upgrade

Vietnamese companies are facing serious shortage of work. Although industrial parks and foreign manufacturers offer a number of preferential measures, it is still difficult to hire workers. In particular, the manufacturers of Ho Chi Minh City, Pingyang, and Dong Nai provinces in the southern economic centers are increasingly facing serious shortages before the end of the year. According to Guan Zhiwen, the director of the private bank company of Ho Chi Minh City, since the rural areas in various provinces of Vietnam have already invested in setting up factories, they can absorb the employment of local laborers and the rising prices of everyday life in major cities, leaving the willingness of laborers to reach the metropolis. In addition, according to DiepThanh Kiet, deputy director of the Vietnam Footwear and Leather Association, although there is no official statistics, many ready-to-wear textiles, footwear leather and wood processing factories can only hire demand workers at the peak of production at the end of the year. For 1/3 of the total number of people, it is recommended that employers should formulate better welfare policies and leave experienced workers to solve the problem of absenteeism. Traders pointed out that Vietnam’s economy has developed rapidly in recent years, and laborers have chosen to increase their employment opportunities, and companies are inevitably unavoidably lacking in employment opportunities. The industry believes that Vietnam’s labor policy has not been improved. It is difficult to leave workers if only relying on employers to provide a good welfare system; Vietnam is entering an economic development stage with low labor costs and industrial processing. Only by shifting the industrial structure and developing high-tech and high economic value industries can we ease the shortage of work.
