Standard parts in component form have all properties and behaviors in a single piece
The standard part is abstracted into an object, and the non-geometric information (material, heat treatment condition, mechanical property level, etc.) of the standard part is abstracted as an attribute of the object, and the assembly relationship of the standard part is abstracted as the behavior of the object. For standard parts in component form, in addition to all the attributes and behaviors in a single piece, its attributes also include the objects corresponding to its sub-standard parts. In addition to the standard parts, there are also some common parts defined by the enterprise itself. These common parts are generally obtained by modifying the standard parts, modifying the technical conditions, and adding information.
There are two ways to model a standard part. The first type is to use the method of "building blocks" for part features. The second is to create a new part by resizing the template part with the required part size. The first method has the drawbacks of complicated modeling and inability to decompose for some complicated features. This standard parts library uses the second modeling method. An important concept in this approach is the template part. A template part is a template that a designer shapes for a standard part on a particular CAD platform. The template records the topological relationship between geometric elements. The template is generated by a set of shapes of the standard series size. The purpose is to drive the other dimensions of this standard part series in the database to create new parts that meet the required dimensions. It can be seen that the template parts are related to the CAD platform, and each CAD platform corresponds to the template file of the respective platform.
