According to Xu Ying, the project leader and associate professor of the Department of Automation, School of Electrical and Automation Engineering, Tianjin University, since 2007, Tianjin University has been conducting research on the “Research and Application of Multi-parameter Dynamic Measurement Technology for Condensed Natural Gas”, which has been awarded 863 projects and countries by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The award is organized by the China Society for Metrology and Testing, registered at the National Awards Office, and is a social strength award with the qualification of a recommended national award. Song Xianzhong said that since the beginning of the preliminary research and theoretical research in 2004, this project can be described as "a decade of grinding a sword." At present, with its unique design and core technology, the equipment has reached the international advanced standards in terms of precision; there is no radiation in safety; in the price, each set only needs 200,000-800,000 yuan, which is one-fifth of similar equipment abroad.

It is reported that from December 2012 to July 2014, the condensate natural gas two-phase flowmeter has been operating normally for more than 550 days in the Tarim Yingmaili gas field Yingying 7 gas metering station. In the past four years, the application of PetroChina Southwest Oil and Gas Field Branch has yielded more than 90 million yuan in economic benefits.
