China's Optical Cable Production Increases 44% from January to May 2012

The three major operators indicated that this year's purchase volume is nearly 100 million core kilometers, which means that in 2011, 93 million core kilometers will be based on the domestic market demand. The increase will exceed 20%, and at the same time it can be expected that the domestic market will maintain a high level of demand in the remaining three quarters of this year.

The optical cable industry has gone through three stages of development: using flow production lines to replace scientific research equipment, from research rooms to factories, and from single-piece production methods to mass production methods, and from small variety and mass production methods to multi-species and small-batch production. the way.

The monitoring data show that from January to May in 2012, the national output of optical cables reached 6,581,100 core kilometers, an increase of 44.13% year-on-year. In May, China produced 48.058 million core kilometers of fiber optic cable, a year-on-year increase of 23.44%.

From the perspective of the output of various provinces and cities, the industry concentration of optical cable industry is getting higher and higher. From January to May of 2012, the output of optical cables in Jiangsu Province reached 24.64 million core kilometers, an increase of 47.85% year-on-year, accounting for 37.44% of the country's total output. Followed by Hubei Province, Zhejiang Province and Guangdong Province, accounting for 16.53%, 13.21% and 8.13% of the total production.
