Zhengda held the National Advanced Seminar on Green Smelting and Material Processing
Vice-president Song Maoping pointed out that Zhengzhou University is actively applying for the identification of a national-level collaborative innovation center for Henan resources and materials industry. Green metallurgy and material processing are the key strategic innovation technologies of the center. Henan is the largest province of aluminum, super-hard materials and refractory materials, and the fourth largest province of coal production. The resource-based industry is the pillar and leading industry in Henan, but there are many primary products such as aluminum, super-hard materials, refractory materials and coal-based materials. There are few high-tech and high-value-added products, and the quality of resource-based industries is not high. Resource-based industries should face the problem of transformation and development. Therefore, around the theme of green smelting and material processing, through the synergy of industry, university and research to improve the level of innovative talents and enhance the ability of technological innovation, it is possible to fundamentally break through the bottleneck restricting the sustainable development of resource-based industries. In order to achieve the above objectives, we will build a talent team in the field of mineral resources development and material processing in Henan Province with a scale, structure and quality to meet the requirements of the “Henan Material Strong Provinceâ€, and create a group of first-class talents in science and technology innovation and entrepreneurship in this field. It is especially urgent, which is also the significance of holding this seminar.
General Guo Cheng emphasized that the implementation of advanced training programs is an important measure to implement the national medium and long-term talent development plan, and is an important way to train high-level professional and technical personnel. He hoped that Zhengzhou University will make full use of the rich teaching and human resources advantages, carry out the continuous education of professional and technical personnel, and strive to bring high-level talent training to a new height and a new level.
The seminar was based on the Henan Resource and Materials Industry Collaborative Innovation Center led by Zhengzhou University. Professor Liu Yutian, President of the University, Professor of Central Plains, Dean of Luoyang Refractory Research Institute of Sinosteel Group, Professor Li Hongxia, Director of State Key Laboratory of Advanced Refractories, Professor Yang Jianhong and Professor Shao Guosheng of the “Thousand Talents Plan†of the Central Organization Department attended 11 experts. Classes are taught. The participants generally reported that the seminars had excellent organization and the quality of the lectures was high and the rewards were great.
