Turkey and the United States work together to research new battery for electric vehicles
The battery life problem of pure electric vehicles is a major obstacle encountered in the promotion process. On the 24th, Azerbaijan Turkey reached an agreement with the United States International Business Machines Corporation to jointly develop a new type of battery for electric vehicles, which is expected to solve this problem.
The newly developed product is a metal-air battery. A metal-air battery is a new concept fuel cell formed by replacing hydrogen energy with metal fuel. The oxidant is derived from oxygen in the air.
Asseler said in a statement that the new battery will significantly increase the endurance of the electric vehicle, and the mileage after one charge will be about five times that of the current product.
