The world's first coke oven flue gas desulfurization and denitration unit put into operation
On November 6th, the coke oven flue gas purification facility of Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Coking Project of China Metallurgical Co., Ltd. was officially put into operation, marking the world's first commercial demonstration device for low temperature desulfurization and denitrification of coke oven flue gas.
Coke oven flue gas low temperature desulfurization and denitrification is a recognized technical problem in the world. After a large number of on-the-spot investigations, theoretical analysis and process comparison, China Metallurgical Co., Ltd. developed the “dry/semi-dry desulfurization + low-temperature denitrification and dedusting thermal analysis integrated technology and process†to specifically solve the desulfurization and denitrification of coke oven flue gas. The technical difficulty is to first carry out flue gas desulfurization, post-dust removal, and then low-temperature SCR denitrification to achieve pollutant discharge standards. In June 2015, China Metallurgical Co., Ltd. officially signed the EP contract for Baosteel Zhanjiang coke oven flue gas purification facility. The de-NOx Dedusting Pyrolysis unit as the core equipment has the functions of low-temperature denitration, desulfurization and dust removal, and in-situ regeneration of the catalyst. The combined technology of semi-dry desulfurization and denitration and dedusting is applied, and the airflow in the denitration reactor is uniform. Technology, ammonia/flue gas mixing technology, denitration catalyst single-chamber in-situ regeneration technology, coke oven flue gas negative pressure control technology, clean flue gas replenishment waste heat utilization technology and many other energy-saving and environmental protection technologies. The whole process flow has no waste water, and the desulfurization by-products can be recycled or directly discharged by relevant chemical manufacturers, in line with current environmental protection requirements and technological development trends of flue gas treatment. Currently, each system of the device is operating normally. After the device is put into production, the emission of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides is less than 30 mg/standard cubic meter and 150 mg/standard cubic meter respectively. The indicators meet the environmental emission limits of special restricted areas specified in the National Coking Chemical Industry Pollutant Emission Standard. .
