The use of high-pressure electroscope and precautions
The high-voltage electroscope is an essential safety tool for electric power systems and industrial and mining enterprises. It is used to detect 0.1kV-500kV lines or equipment with operating frequency voltage to ensure the personal safety of the workers during maintenance.

Second, the use of high-pressure electroscope and precautions:
(1) Before use, a qualified high-voltage electroscope with a suitable voltage rating shall be selected based on the rated voltage of the equipment to be inspected.
(B), high-voltage electroscope must be used before the self-test: the method is to use a finger to press the self-test button, intermittent flashing lights, while intermittent alarm sound, indicating that the instrument is normal.
(III) When performing electrical inspection operations above 10 kV, it must be carried out in accordance with the "Working Procedures for Electrical Safety". Workers wear insulated gloves, wear insulated boots, and guarantee the safety distance of live electrical equipment.
(D) When inspecting electricity, the staff holds the grip part below the electric appliance retaining ring, and conducts inspections on the electric facilities in accordance with the “Regulations on Electrical Safety Work†to verify that the high-voltage electroscope is in good condition. Only use the instrument when it is raining and heavy fog days.
Third, high-voltage electroscope periodic experiment:
In order to protect the safety of people and equipment, according to the "Working Safety Regulations", high-voltage electroscopes should be used as insulation withstand voltage test, start experiments, wet places for three months, dry places for six months, if necessary, should be stop using.
Fourth, high-pressure electroscope to carry and keep:
1) Avoid dropping, squeezing, strong impact, vibration, and do not scrub with corrosive chemical solvents and washing solutions.
2) Do not expose it to the open sun, keep it clean and store it in a dry place.
3) The high-voltage electroscope (indicator) uses SR44 button and battery (1.5V) 4 sections. When the self-check switch is pressed, if the indicator strength is weak (including abnormality), the battery should be replaced in time.
