Study on the performance of DC electroplated iron matrix and its diamond bit

Abstract The industrial gold plating technology for repairing parts is applied to the production of diamond drill bits. After the experiment, the technology of electroplating iron-based carcass diamond drill bit was mastered. The indoor drilling test shows that the electroplating-based diamond drill bit has a performance of 2 m/h when drilling 9 grade granite, and the service life of the drill bit can reach 44 m, which can fully meet the requirements of drilling production. The results show that the performance of DC electroplated iron-based carcass has the characteristics of high hardness and adjustable, and good diamond edge. The electroplating iron base plating solution has simple formula and low cost, and has a good application prospect.
