Personality affects health: shyness, aversion, and integrity do not predispose to diabetes

Quiet

Is there a relationship between personality and health? Dr. Martin Hager, a health psychologist at the University of Nottingham, UK, recently gave a corresponding set of answers. However, Dr. Hager also pointed out that no matter what personality you belong to, it does not mean that it will certainly lead to a certain disease. It is just a reminder.

The optimist is easy to be obese. Because they always see the good side, they don’t pay much attention to the problems brought by overweight, and they often cannot help the temptation of food. Over-optimistic people are more confident that they are more adventurous, have a greater chance of premature death, and are prone to develop bad habits such as smoking and drinking.

Anxiety is more prone to stomach ulcers. Emotionally unstable people may be more likely to smoke and drink alcohol, are prone to develop irregular dietary habits, or have sleep problems that increase the chance of stomach problems. Frequent mood swings can also trigger headaches, acne, and bladder infections.

Sensitive to heart disease. If men have sympathy, love, etc., tend to be more feminine, the risk of chronic heart disease will be greatly reduced. Women’s violence can easily lead to breast cancer. Men are irritated and the risk of developing colon cancer increases.

Extroversion is less heart disease. Extroverts are less likely to have heart disease and infectious diseases, and are more resilient.

Shy people have a high risk of stroke. Shy people like to live in a hidden place. They are easily nervous in a new environment. Their ability to fight viral infections is poor. Colds, heart attacks and strokes are 50% more likely than average people.

People with low IQs have a high risk of developing brain disease. People with low IQs have a harder time understanding healthy life, are more anxious, and are prone to suffer from late-onset dementia and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Upright people are healthier. Diligent and honest people are less likely to suffer from diabetes, skeletal diseases, sciatica and stroke, and even dementia. They often perform healthy activities, have a good attitude, exercise, and a healthy diet.
