(1) Ability to discharge saturated water and subcooling
The steam turns to heat and becomes saturated water. Free float type, lever float type, float type trap can discharge saturated water, and the degree of undercooling is 0-2 °C.
Subcooling is the absolute value of the difference between the temperature at which the trap can continuously discharge hot condensate and the saturation temperature at the corresponding pressure. The trap that discharges saturated water can drain at point C. The trap that can not discharge saturated water can only drain at point E. The temperature difference between point C and point E is called subcooling.
Disc type, bimetal type, bellows type and other traps are not suitable for use in vulcanizers because of the large degree of subcooling.
