Four points of management before mulching onion

Generally , 50 kg of low-nitrogen, high-phosphorus, high-potassium-sulfur compound fertilizer with a total content of more than 45% , 5000 kg of decomposed farmyard manure or 500 kg of dried chicken manure , after spreading the fertilizer, plowing, soil tillage After the fine, it is made into a cymbal of 100 to 120 cm wide.

Second, choose strong seedlings. Required before transplanting seedling age onions preferably 50 to 55 days at which time rooting seedlings and easy, quick recovery growth after transplanting, seedlings diameter 5-6 mm, height 25 cm. 10 to 15 days before transplanting , spraying potassium dihydrogen phosphate foliar fertilizer on the seedlings can promote the early rooting of the seedlings after colonization.

Third, cover the mulch film. Plastic film cultivation can enhance the wintering ability of onions and improve the ability of soil water retention and fertilizer retention, so that the onion yield is greatly increased. Before the film is covered, it is necessary to fill the water to make the sputum. After the water in the sputum is completely oozing, when the soil is wet, spray 33% of the weeding solution to 100 ml per acre , spray evenly on the surface of the sputum, and then cover the membrane. Prepare the mulch film and the mulching tool. When working, choose a windless and sunny weather. Use both sides of the membrane to press the soil firmly. Otherwise, the mulch film will be damaged by the wind and it will not be convenient for field work.

Fourth, transplanting and planting. The transplanting period of onions in the central part of the province is generally in early November , and the mulch is covered 5 days before transplanting to increase the ground temperature. Holes were punched in the mulch before transplanting, with a line spacing of 20 cm and a plant spacing of 15 cm. After the seedlings are planted, they should be transplanted immediately. When transplanting, the roots should not be exposed to the surface, but it should not be too deep. The planting depth is 2 to 3 cm.
