“Five thresholds†for the production of medium and high-end CNC machine tools
CNC equipment and technology are the core of advanced manufacturing technology, and are the basis for automation, networking, flexibility and integration in manufacturing. The overall level of CNC equipment marks the strength of a country's industrial modernization and comprehensive national strength.
In recent years, China has made certain breakthroughs in the production of high-end products of CNC machine tools, and has been able to supply networked, integrated and flexible CNC machine tools. For example, the five-axis linkage CNC technology mastered by China is relatively mature, and existing products are on the market. In addition, Dalian Machine Tool Group and Beijing No. 1 Machine Tool have successfully developed a number of CNC machine tools with spindle speeds above 8000~10000 rpm.
The automotive industry is the main user of machine tools and CNC machine tools. If the car output increases by 1%, the consumption of CNC machine tools will increase by 0.5%, and the automotive industry has high requirements for machine tools. Therefore, mastering the latest developments in the automotive industry, developing and producing products that meet the needs of the automotive industry is particularly important for machine tool companies.
From the perspective of the needs of the automotive industry, China must have the ability to produce medium and high-end CNC machine tools, and further efforts should be made in the following five aspects:
(1) The information technology foundation is weak and has a high dependence on foreign technology. China's CNC machine tool industry has a weak technical development capability and technical foundation, and the application of information technology is not high. The existing sources of information technology in the industry mainly rely on the introduction of foreign technology. The digestion of imported technologies still remains in mastering existing technologies and increasing the rate of localization, and has not risen to the level of forming independent development capabilities and technological innovation capabilities. High-performance CNC machine tools with high precision, high speed, high efficiency, composite function, multi-axis linkage, etc. basically have to rely on imports.
(2) Product maturity is low and reliability is not high. The average time-to-failure time of foreign CNC systems is more than 10,000 hours. The domestically developed CNC system is only 3000~5000 hours. The average trouble-free working time of the whole machine is more than 800 hours, and the best products in China are only 300 hours.
(3) Low innovation capability and weak market competitiveness. Although there are more than 100 enterprises producing CNC machine tools in China, most of them fail to form scale production, and the innovation ability is low, the manufacturing cost is high, and the product market competitiveness is not strong.
(4) Domestic supply capacity in high-end CNC machine tools and complete sets of line equipment is still insufficient.
Although the numerical control rate of the Chinese machine tool industry has increased steadily in recent years, the structural contradiction between machine tool consumption and production is still outstanding. Taking CNC machine tools as an example, the demand for high-end machine tools in China has exceeded the low-end machine tools in terms of consumption and consumption, but the market share of domestically produced high-end CNC machine tools is very low. Most of the domestic machine tools are low-end. .
70% of CNC lathes are economical CNC lathes controlled by single-axis single-board machines. More than 80% of electric machining machines are economical. These two types of CNC machine tools account for more than half of the output of CNC machine tools in China. Although high-end machine tools such as 5-axis CNC machine tools and CNC heavy-duty machine tools and machining centers are also produced, the number is less than one thousand and the manufacturing cost is high. The annual output of processing centers in Germany and Japan, where the machine tool manufacturing industry is developed, is more than 10,000 units, which is 20 to 30 times that of China.
