According to the MIT Technology Review, scientists have developed a new way to create carbon fiber. Compared to current technology, it is not only more efficient, but also cheaper. The good news is that a team of scientists led by Stuart Licht, a professor of chemistry at George Washington University, has successfully implemented a method of capturing carbon dioxide directly from the air and then converting it into carbon nanofibers and oxygen using an electrochemical process.

According to Licht, this breakthrough not only brings a simpler and easier way to mass-produce high-value products, because it is also a practical and compact solution for stabilizing storage and storage of carbon dioxide.
