Academician workstation becomes Henan "accelerator"
On April 3, a statistical data from the Provincial Science and Technology Department showed that up to now, the province has established 152 academician workstations and introduced 201 academicians to work in the station. A total of 43 major scientific research projects at the national level such as “863â€, “973†and Science and Technology Support Program were organized, and 378 projects of production, education and research were organized, more than 500 technical problems were solved for enterprises and institutions, and more than 280 scientific research achievements were obtained. The project has obtained more than 600 patents of various types.
On September 17, 2008, at the 10th China Association for Science and Technology Annual Meeting held in Zhengzhou, provincial leader Guo Gengmao signed the "Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement" with the Chinese Academy of Engineering on behalf of Henan Province, and signed the "Joint Implementation of Science and Technology Innovation" with the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The Cooperation Agreement for Action has opened a new chapter in the cooperation between the provinces and the provinces. In March 2010, the Provincial Science and Technology Department started the construction of the academician workstations. The science and technology cooperation of the provincial government has opened up new fields and become an innovative form to guide the high-end talents of academicians and their teams to support regional economic development under the new situation.

From the perspective of the industrial categories of the station construction units, we focus on the pillar industries and emerging strategic industries of the province, such as equipment manufacturing, bio-pharmaceuticals, metallurgical chemicals, automobiles and parts, and electric power, which have effectively promoted industrial technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading in our province. From the effectiveness of the construction of the station, the fruitful results are exciting:

For example, Academician Zhang Wei and his team have established a number of academician workstations in our province, which has solved a number of key technical problems that restrict the development of traditional metallurgical industry. She cooperated with Cayman Aluminium (Sanmenxia) Co., Ltd. to solve the problem of red mud de-alkali for the first time in the world.
-- Promote cooperation between industry, academia and research to promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. AVIC Lithium (Luoyang) Co., Ltd. and Xiamen University and many other well-known universities and research institutes at home and abroad have deep alliances. In May last year, three academicians of Chen Yunbo, Tian Zhongqun and Tian Zhaowu convened a large-capacity lithium battery academician workstation. Constructing a high-level scientific research and industrialization platform, successfully transforming a number of patent achievements, and providing strong technical support for enhancing the core competitiveness of enterprises.

For example, Luoyang Institute of Technology established the Academician of Tunnel and Underground Engineering, and introduced Academician Wang Mengshu and Academician Gu Jincai. In the past two years, he has hosted or participated in 13 national-level projects and trained a group of high-level talents.
